Strong growth in Services in Q1
Infotel announces revenue of €39.1 million in the 1st quarter of 2014, up 5.3% on a fully organic basis compared to the first quarter of 2013. The continuation of a sustained growth rate, driven over the period by the performance of Services (+9.3%), put Infotel above the expected estimates for the IT sector market (+1.1% in 2014, Source Syntec).
The Services division (95% of total revenue) posted revenue of €37.2 million in the 1st quarter, up 9.3%. This positive development is based on the good momentum of service centre openings, particularly in the banking sector, and on the solid development of the mobility offer. The rate of intercontracts remained low, averaging about 2% over the quarter.
The Software division (5% of total revenue) totalled €1.9 million in revenue over the period. As anticipated, this evolution represents a return to a normative level of royalties (-45.6% vs Q1 2013), compared to an exceptional first quarter of 2013 (+49.2% vs Q1 2012). At the same time, Infotel is pursuing actions, particularly internationally, aimed at expanding distribution partnerships for its products.
The Group’s financial position is solid with €50.5 million in equity, no debt and a cash level of more than €30 million (as at 31 March 2014).
Infotel confirms its growth and margin security objectives for the current year.
Today’s Annual General Meeting approved the payment of a dividend of €3.5 per share, which is scheduled to be paid on 30 May 2014.
