International Women’s Day 2025 | Meet the Women of Infotel

International Women’s Day, an annual global event held on March 8, celebrates the different social, economic, cultural, and political contributions made by women worldwide. This event has been observed since the early 1900s and unites the people across the globe. It is considered an opportunity to reflect on the changes, recognise challenges, and further progress in eliminating gender discrimination.

With a global presence and headquartered in Paris, France, Infotel India has a diverse workforce with nearly 32% of employees being women. At Infotel, we are committed to enhancing these numbers and working toward achieving a more balanced and inclusive workplace.

ACCELERATE ACTION: What does this mean?

International Women’s Day 2025 embraces the theme “Accelerate Action,” urging us to move from awareness to tangible change. The theme “Accelerate Action” encourages us to advance gender equality and inclusivity in society and the workplace. It also emphasizes efforts to promote equality across boardrooms, classrooms, households and speed up the progress towards accomplishing global gender equality.

Accelerate Action is a worldwide call to acknowledge the strategies, resources, and activities that positively impact women’s advancement and to support and elevate their significance.

Diversity and Inclusion at Infotel

Building an inclusive workplace has always been our ongoing effort, and we are committed to refining our practices and promoting a culture of belonging. One of the key elements of our comprehensive inclusion strategy includes our recruiting process, where we have implemented the Tech Reboot—Women’s Career Break program to encourage the women to join our workforce after their break. In this way we empower and support women to re-enter the workforce, provide tailored training sessions, mentorship programs, and a supportive environment that helps them to seamlessly transition back into their professional careers with confidence.

We’re committed to continuous improvement and expanding our efforts to address diverse needs.

Now, let’s meet some of the wonderful women at Infotel.

Q: What’s a moment in your career that made you feel truly empowered?

A: Empowerment comes when we embrace challenges and prove to ourselves that we are capable. Every time I help a candidate land their dream job, advocate for fair hiring practices, or open doors for under-represented talent, I am simultaneously advancing my own professional journey and feel the impact of my role. The recognition and trust bestowed upon me reinforced my belief in my capabilities. It taught me the value of perseverance and teamwork. I played a role in creating an inclusive workplace that was incredibly rewarding.

Q: What skills do you think are most important for women to succeed in the workplace?

A: Confidence, leadership, and communication are key for women to excel in the workplace—confidence empowers them to advocate for themselves, enables women to take risks, voice their ideas, and assert their value in professional settings. Q: How do you balance work and personal life? Any tips for others?

A: Being a 5-day work-from-office mom, I always do prior planning during the weekend, which helps me start my Monday morning positively. When Monday goes well, I believe it gives us confidence to handle whatever that week throws at you. Below are a few tips that helped maintain my work-life balance.

  • Spending time for yourself in a day is equally important to the time you spend for family or work.
  • I allocate time for at least 1 task that I like in a day, which includes listening to podcasts (suggestion: 7 good minutes), reading books, and writing journals.
  • It is ok to ask for help. Divide your responsibilities at home with your partner; this gives a way to connect and spend some quality time together.
