Bagnolet, December 8, 2011
Infotel announces the signing of a memorandum of understanding for the acquisition of the entire capital of the IT consulting and services company Empeiria, based in Villeneuve-d’Ascq (North). This new transaction (following the acquisition of Insoft Software GmbH in June) embodies Infotel’s desire to accelerate its growth, while strengthening proximity and geographical network.
An operation in line with the growth strategy
In line with the successful operations in the West (Odaxys) and south-east (Addax), the acquisition of Empeiria is fully in line with Infotel’s strategic roadmap: already established regionally with Infotel Nord since 2011, Infotel, thanks to this new acquisition, is giving itself the means to accelerate its development, in a very dynamic region, at the crossroads of Northern Europe.
Once the acquisition is finalized, Infotel will integrate, from 2012, skills and a portfolio of national and regional accounts such as Auchan, Leroy-Merlin, Humanis, Vilogia, Match Supermarkets, Cofidis, etc.
Infotel wishes to retain all of Empeiria’s resources and contracts, and will make every effort to develop commercial synergies with Empeiria as soon as possible.
An accretive operation
Created in July 2004 by Jean-Louis André and Didier Agaciak, Empeiria is expected to achieve, with 27 employees, a turnover of around €2 million in 2011 for an operating margin rate of around 8%.
More specialized in Object technologies (Java, DotNet…), Empeiria is very complementary to Infotel, both in terms of customers and corporate culture and professions. Empeiria performs 68% of its services on a contract basis and 32% on a flat-rate basis or in project mode.
A self-financed operation
Infotel will finance the acquisition of Empeiria from its own funds and the company is expected to be consolidated in the Group’s financial statements for the 2012 financial year.
